Rs.3 Crore Old Currency Seized By Khadak Police Station In Pune City
Five people, including a municipal servant of Pune, have been arrested late night from Ravivar peth area with old currency notes of 30 million. In a short time, everyone will be presented at Shivajinagar Court. It was revealed in the investigation that these old notes were in variance with the help of some agents.
According to information received from Khadak police station, the arrested people include Sangamner corporator Gajendra Bajaba Abhang (47), Vijay Abhimanyu Shinde (38), Aditya Vishwas Chavan (25), Suresh Pandurang Jagtap (40) and Navnath Kashinath Bhandagale.The Khadak police had received information from the informers that some people had come to Pune with bags filled with old notes, on the basis of which the police arrested five people late at night. Senior police inspector of Khadak police station Rajendra Mokashi told that the corporator had come to Pune to replace all the old notes including Gajendra. 500 and 1000 rupees notes have been recovered from them. The investigation of the case is ongoing.
