Rs.1300 Crores Granted For Shivajinagar To Hinjewadi Metro Station In Pune
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for granting subsidy of Rs 1300 crores form the government’s viability gap funding for Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi Metro in Pune.Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi Metro Rail Project is being developed on the basis of public private partnership concept, build, finance, use, use and transfer (DBFOT). The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) had recently approved the cabinet’s meeting to implement it.
The length of the metro line is 23.3 kms.The Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi Metro route will intersect the Pimpri-Swargate corridor at the Shivajinagar station. Also, it will intersect the Ramwadi-Vanaz route at the Shivajinagar civil court.The Metro route will start from Ramwadi and end at Vanaz.The total cost of this project is Rs 8,313 crores. The project will get further boost due to funding of Rs 1300 crore from the Center, and the dreams of Pune’s metro will soon come true. The Chief Minister has given special thanks to the Central Government’s help.The Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) plans to start work on the Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi metro corridor the third in the Pune Metro project by April this year.
