Pune Railways Installs the first ”Plastic Bottle Crushers”
The first ‘plastic bottle crush’ device has been started at Pune railway station for proper disposal of plastic due to environmental protection. Due to good Response to the passengers, the number of devices will be increased at the station, said the Central Railway’s Pune division.
Various steps have been taken in the past few days in the Pune railway station due to cleanliness. The passengers have also been invited to show cleanliness. In the premises of the station, drinking water bottles are brought in large quantities. After the water is over, these bottles are spaced anywhere in the station’s premises. If these bottles are trapped in the chamber, then the sewage insulation will be affected. Environmental aspects are also damaged.
For properly disposal of the plastic bottles, the Pune railway has installed the first ‘plastic bottle crush’ device in front of the waiting room number one. The service was started by Mayor Mukta Tilak and MP Anil Shirole. Pune Railway Manager Milind Debaskar, Additional Manager Praful Chandra, Senior Commercial Manager Krishnath Patil were present on the occasion. The railways appealed to passengers to dispose of the empty bottles of water in the machine or in the garbage belt. Currently, a single device has been installed on the experimental basis. However, after responding to the passengers, the decision will be taken to set up the machines on all platforms, Railway Public Relations Officer Manoj Zanwar said.
