According to Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), there will be “Integrated Ticketing System” on Metro routes. This will help passengers to use only one ticket for Metro, Cab and PMPML Buses. This facility will be started on the basis of the facility tried and tested in Hyderabad. On line 3 i.e. from Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar, there will be 23 stations. Passengers will need facility to commute from metro stations to their desired destinations. So taking this into account, this only one ticket system will be convenient for passengers even if they want to travel in cab or in PMPML buses.
There will be card system for passengers. People can get card for 8 days and also for a year, once they pay for the card. The specified amount will be deducted from it. This is going to be very convenient for passengers as they don’t need stand in queues for long time for different tickets. Only one ticket will be sufficient.
