Petrol crosses Rs 88 mark in Pune, Mumbai as fuel prices continue to rise
Petrol and diesel prices are increased on Monday again. For the past four days, the prices of petrol and diesel are continuing to rise. On Monday, petrol in Mumbai increased by 23 paise and diesel 22 paise respectively. The highest increase in petrol prices has seen in Chennai. Petrol is increased by 25 paise in Chennai. Petrol per litre is the most expensive in Mumbai. Here a litre petrol is 88 rupees 12 paise.
Many opposition parties will unite in protest against the increase in prices of petrol, diesel, and gas in the country during the ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by the Congress on Monday. NCP chief Sharad Pawar, DMK chief MK Stalin, and 21 other party leaders have openly supported the ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by the Congress while Trinamool Congress and Shivsena has decided to stay away from the band. While the price of petrol crossed the Rs 80 per litre mark in the capital on Saturday, in Pune, it further increased to Rs 88.12 per litre and diesel was sold at Rs 75.79 per litre.
