Over 25 Thousand Rakhis sent To Indian Borders from Pune
For the protection of peoples, soldiers fight on the border of the country. In order to protect the people of this country, these soldiers forget their family and perform their duty towards the country. They can not even celebrate many festivals with their families.
For celebrating the Rakshabandhan festival more than 25 thousand Rakhis were sent from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad for Soldiers. Sainik Mitra Parivar and Twshata Kasar Samaj Ganeshotsav Mandal organized the event to worship the Rakhis at the hands of the veteran singer Anuradha Marathe at the Mahakalika Mandir.
Anuradha Marathe said, “Today is a very memorable day in my life. It is a great thing that you are doing such activities consistent for soldiers. My father was also a great freedom fighter for the country. The soldiers are fighting away from their home, alone on the border. When you reach to them through these Gifts and Rakhis we can connect them from here.” This event has been continuously being implemented since 1998 so soldiers can celebrate the festivals.
