“No Horn Day” will be organized on 12th September by Pune RTO
The ‘No Horn Day’ campaign will be organized in the Pune city and district on September 12 by the Regional Transport Office for creating public awareness about noise pollution due to unauthorized horn blowing and therefore its causes on the public health. The campaign will be organized by the RTO and city transport department.
There is 58 lakh 72 thousand 811 vehicles in Pune district. The sound pollution caused by these vehicles’ horns poses a threat to the health of the citizens. The unnecessary horn volume is more than 80 percent. Due to the overuse of the horn, the frontman may have a chance to get confused by accident. To reduce this, RTO has decided to increase public awareness. Regional Transport Officer Babasaheb Aajri informed about this. Traffic Police Deputy Commissioner, Tejasvi Satpute, Sub-Regional Transport Officer Sanjay Raut was present on the occasion.
How will ‘No horn day’ celebrated
The RTO and the Traffic Police will appeal to the drivers, not to blow horns on every corner and chouk of the city on September12. In such a situation, arrangements for raids will be made by RTO and police.
The slogan, jingles competition
In this campaign, competition has been organized to create video clips, jingles, posters, and slogans on ‘No Horn’ topic. There will be attractive and cash prize for excellent artwork.
