Nigdi-Dapodi BRT service will be started from today
The BRT bus service on Nigdi-Dapodi road will be started from Friday (April 24) and more than one lakh people will be able to travel fast. From most of the major parts of Pune, the passengers can travel by the BRT bus. Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal corporations will start the fifth BRT service, with a total of 623 buses running.
It will be inaugurated by Minister Girish Bapat at Nigdi Bus Station on Friday at 12 noon. However, all buses will run on the BRT route from the dawn. For this, the number of buses has also been increased. A total of 113 buses of PMPML and 139 buses on the lease are on its way. Currently, some old buses running on this route will be sent to other routes. Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation started the work of BRT and independent lane on this route in 2013. After some people went to court, the municipal corporation asked IIT Powai to suggest security measures. According to their report security measures were taken. After approval of High Court, Nigdi-Dapodi BRT is being started.
