In Conversation with Mr. Narayana Murthy at Pune International Literary Festival (PILF): The Pune Connection

Pun International Literary Fest on the first day had a great opening with the main highlight for the day being Mr. Narayana Murthy who did the grand inauguration of the event. Narayana Ramarao Murthy, commonly known as Narayana Murthy is the founder of Infosys, a multinational corporation providing business consulting & technology. He is the pride of India and we all know he started his empire from the scratch and got Infosys to what it is today.

What more we wanted to know was his special connection with Pune because this is the place where he met someone very special. He admitted saying that he persistently chased the love of his life and partner Mrs Sudha Murthy, then girlfriend, now wife, for 3 years and to convince her it took no bounds. He also describes the moments of the first meet with Sudha Murhty’s father.
He says Pune has been an important and integral part of his life because this is the place where he found his love and he spent time wandering on J.M. road and many such places with her in the city. This was also the place where he was introduced to different genres of books and how Sudha Murthy gave him various kinds of books to read and how he started developing love for literature. He further talks about his favourite places in Pune and where they both loved to eat.
