Mobile Railway Ticket getting a good response from Punekar
On the Pune-Lonavla route, the number of tickets taken from the mobile has increased significantly. In one month, nearly one lakh passengers were booked on mobile phones. The Central Railway’s Pune division has started providing tickets on mobile on April 4 for the local Pune-Lonavla passengers.
The train station has a big queue for tickets. That is why traveler’s time is being wasted. To overcome this problem, the railway administration has created ‘UTS’ campaign. It is also available in Google Play Store. These tickets were available on mobile only at a distance of two-kilometer area from the station. There is no need to take its printout. Ticket Checkers can check if the tickets are shown on mobile. Therefore, the mobile ticket for the train, which is easily available in less time, is becoming popular among the passengers. This facility will be started in all the stations in Pune Division of Central Railway in a month. Unreserved tickets will be made available to the passengers on mobile. Tickets can be obtained on various routes like Pune-Daund, Pune-Urli, Pune-Satara. The railway administration has informed that the technical preparations have been made for the final phase of this system.
