Nowadays, all schools in city are in favour of different kinds of competitions be it academic or non-academic. These competitions help students to cope up with the rising pressure day by day.
Recently, ‘Mathemania’ an interschool Math Quiz was organised in Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School located in Aundh where 17 schools took part in it. The first number was taken by Symbiosis School followed by New India School who stood as the runner-up. The prize for winner was Rs. 4000 along with the Trophy and for runner-up it was Rs. 2000. It was the 9th edition of the quiz this year. There were many rounds carried on the quiz such as Melding with Mathematicoians, Path Finders, Matter of Fact, Spot On, rapid fire round and ‘Care for Kisan’ where students tried their hands on SnakeCube. These rounds were of great help to students who participated in the quiz as it helped them to know their analytical thinking and quantitative aptitude.
So in all such competitions help students to develop their academic skills by performing well and they get an exposure to different kinds of ideas which they can use in practical world. So it is really good initiative taken by the schools in city to make overall development of students.
