City experienced substantial decrease in Sunshine in the month of July. As per the Met department of India, on an average there was only one hour of Sunshine in July.
There is also reduction in solar radiation. Most of the times, sky was covered with the clouds because of pollution in the air. For those who wanted to take Vitamin D from the sunshine had to wait for the sun rays. Some days in the month were completely without sunshine, some days were having some amount of sunshine but it was lowest in last 18 years as per the Met Department. According to the Met department, cloud cover and sun’s altitude are the factors affecting the solar radiation. No or low sunshine also affects the health of the people as it brings unwanted diseases.
Now rain has taken a back seat since some days, so let’s just hope for some bright and sunny days ahead.
