Taking into account the amount of rainfall in and around city this year let’s just pray that problem of drought would not be there at least for this year.

As water scarcity has taken a toll in country since some years; it is sure good news for our city as dams supplying water to city are almost full i.e.88%. Khadakwasla, Panshet, Temghar and Varasgaon are four dams which have reached up to the desired levels. PMC gets its water supply from Khadakwasla dam whereas PCMC gets its water supply from Pavana dam which is also almost full. Water has been released in rivers from these dams.

As a provision for summer season we all can do our own part by at least saving water for future use. This can be done by different methods such as rain water harvesting.
