Increasing pollution levels across the state is the main concern in these days. High pollution levels lead to many health problems such as respiratory diseases, asthma, cough and cold and so on. So to help in solving this problem, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has come up with the solution of e-vehicle charging stations.
MSEDCL has decided to install e-vehicle charging stations to promote the use of electric vehicles. Increased use of electric vehicles will definitely lead to reduction in the pollution levels. This work will be done in phases, where e-vehicle charging stations will be installed in Pune along with in cities like Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Panvel, Thane and Nagpur. In Pune there will be installation of 10 charging stations. Total 500 charging stations will be installed in the Maharashtra State in coming days.
As per the officials, it will take around one hour for complete charging of your vehicle and cost for the same will be Rs. 6 per unit. This cost depends on the timing as if you are charging your vehicle at night time i.e. between 10 pm and 6 am then the cost will be low by Rs. 1.50. So people, we can give a thought to use of electric vehicles as such facilities will be available in city.
