On Monday i.e. on 27th August, inter-college cultural exchange programme named “Astitva” was organised in city’s famous Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC). More than 60 colleges in cities from our country took part in it.
Around 1500 students from different colleges participated in this programme. This programme is being taken place in BMCC from 2010 to promote the art and preserve our country’s cultural values. It is a need of an hour to give importance in creating healthy environment to live, so taking this into consideration; this year’s theme was emphasized on the “Environment”.
The main purpose of this programme was to preserve our country’s different cultures from different areas. One can experience energy, zeal and enthusiasm in this kind of programme. Students tried their best in performing different kinds of art. It was inaugurated by renowned classical singer Anand Bhate. As per his opinion, studies are important for students but they should also engage themselves in the hobbies of their interest. This will definitely help them to cope with the stress they are facing in today’s high paced life. So art like music, singing, dancing should be also be given preference along with the studies.
