15 Mountaineers from Pune climbed “Stok Kangri”, the highest peak of Ladakh
Stok Kangri peak has a different significance in the climbing universe and mountaineers. The high altitude has a height of Ladakh region is 20,182 feet. Climbing Stok Kangri is a very tough challenge in the adverse weather conditions. However, on this peak, five Marathi youths started a successful uprising. A total of 15 youths participated in this campaign. It took four days to complete the campaign.
The fifteen hillclimbers from Pune Bhagavan Chavle, Anand Takewade, Sandeep Bhapkar, Sumit Gawde, Sambhaji Gurav, Mahendra Dhavde, Dhanraj Pandey, Vijay Butala, Chaitanya Tehsildar, Sagar Ingular, Jayesh Nahar, Rishikesh Dhoke, Dr.Vaibhav Raut With Yungandhar Chavle who is just 13 years old climbed Stoke Cangree under the leadership Bhagavan Chavle . Bhagavan, Anand, Sandeep, Sumit, and Sambhaji, facing many problems, overcome the atmosphere and the extremely difficult situation. Sonam and Dawa guide guided them to the top. Bhagavan Chavle has successfully completed the Everest campaign this year. They decided to create adventures for a new generation; Therefore, they decided to take the highest peak Stok Kangri of Leh-Ladakh. A total of 15 people have been formed by selecting members.
