About Dhom Dam
Dhom Dam is an earthfill and gravity Dam built on the river Krishna which is near Wai. The Dhom Dam project was started in 1976 and was completed in 1982. The Dam is 21kms from Panchgani and 90kms from Pune. The length of the dam is 2478 meters and 50ft. tall. The main purpose of the Dam is to provide water for the industries to this region.
How to reach?
The nearest railway station to Dhom dam is Korgaon in Satara and Wather railway station. Lonad is the nearest station from Pune.
There are State transport buses available from Satara, wai, Panchgani and Pune city.
