Cisco Opens Global Delivery Center in Pune, to Hire 150 – With aim to enlarge its current delivery capacity in India, the US based technology firm Cisco launched its new global delivery center in the Pune. Cisco’s 172,000 sq ft Pune office of all new global delivery center will play a most important role in the global strategy of Cisco, in order to execute global advanced services business along with offers major services to Indian customers. So, with the establishment of this Pune’s center, India has become only country in all over the world where, Cisco Company has their two global delivery centers. As per the recent statement, they likely to double their headcount at the Pune center in upcoming years.

Cisco Global Delivery Center Pune to Hire 150

Networking giants has to set up their second global delivering center in Pune, which will employ around 250 people over the next two year. Cisco who serves its services business about 10,000 customers globally through a network of integrated global delivery centers (GDC’s). India is the only market where they have their two GDC’s, the other one being in the Bangalore. The GDC of Bangalore is one of the largest center for the services of Cisco in the country which acts as a Hub. And it already has a 1,000 employee at that center. Currently, Cisco has total six GDC’s globally, which includes the US, Mexico, Poland, China as well as India (two centers).

Cisco India and SAARC president Dinesh Malkan, said that Pune has overall 100 resources at this point with global expertise in the financial services, and insurance, manufacturing as well as service provider business. It also has an 8000 sq ft lab which can simulate some of the most complex customer networks for testing. He also stated that, the GDC of Pune reconfirms their long lasting partnership with their customers and also with Government of Maharashtra. And they will be designing their new center in such way that it will provide best experience and services and product with the inclusion of local innovations to their customers. Centers at India are only one which supports all the geographies, he added.

The US-based tech giant Cisco has already considering Pune for setting up its new manufacturing unit in the country and eventually plans to make India as an export hub. So, with this aligned expansion with India centers their goal is to double their delivery execution capacity in 2-3 years.
